No you often see different weight springs. That is how they get the advance cure correct. Look at any modern distribuitor. They do the same thing. I recurved my MSD dist. to match my needs. There were 3 or 4 different colored springs pairs each with a different stiffness. To adjust the advance curve you used idfferent combinations of the springs. Only rarely did they specify using 2 springs of the same color/stiffness.
