Dave,

Lockers are always good!! There are some drawbacks for automoatic lockers. They can cause adverse handling effects if they are not well understood and accounted for in driving techniques.

The advantage of the ARB lockers is that they are completely open when they are disengaged. They behave just like a stock differential. When they are locked, they act live a spool and there is no slipage.

So, on the handleing front, the ARB lockers can't get you in trouble. Others have expressed concerns about breakage related to lockers. Basically, while it is true that lockers can increase the stress on the drivetrain, I haven't heard any reports related to the ARBs causing or relating to damage.

I have front and rear lockers in my Carryall, and I have lots of customers that have installed them in both ends. My W300M has a Detroit in the back and will soon have an ARB in the front.\

Good luck with your projects.
