I just put a new gas tank in my PW. I ended up with a 1978 Bronco 25.5 gal tank. I modified the stock lower strap slightly by shortening it, but the upper bar fit the tank fit almost perfectly with a little arch bent into it. I also modified the hole by soldering in a new ring for the stock PW sending unit. Anyone wanting a bigger tank than the stock half tank might want to consider this, worked for me, and it was only $90 for the new tank.
