Thinking about Memorial Day got me to thinking about those who served in our family.
I was an Air Force photographer in the Korean conflict. My father was a flight surgeon in the Navy, WWII. An uncle was in the Navy Seebees, WWII, an uncle was in the Army engineers, WWII. A son in the Air Force between Korean conflict and Vietnam. A son in the Air Force and Calif. Nat. Guard. A son currently a LTCol in the Army at Fort Bragg. Grandson in the Army in Germany. Brother in the US Marines during Korean conflict.
And an ancester in the Civil War who received the Medal of Honor.
Oh, yes,two grand daughters who are in college in the ROTC program and will be commissioned in the Army when they graduate.
Whew, I guess we are a military family; and very proud of it.
