Are you secretly having bridge parts delivered?? Fuel for the ferries is not cheap these days. Washing State Ferry System is in trouble, not only due to the cost of fuel but lack of or deferred maintenance. Hull corrosion forced several out of service this year. Now they want new ones for a set price and they have to be built in state. Oh they want them now.
This state has never been able to figure out transportation. They spend more money in studies and never do the major projects. They are afraid of getting a law suit because it disturbs someone view etc. Actually can not blame them too much I90 over Lake Washington was held up for close to 20 years because of that. It was the most expensive interstate until the Big Dig.
