Diesel isn't there yet, but some people just can't grasp MATH.
At $4.00 per gallon, diesel would have to be $5.25 before it's a push. Add to the equation that diesels can run bio and veggie and it's a no brainier.
Try pulling a trailer loaded with Power Wagons, with a V-6 gasser.......
Interesting question that is dependant upon congress getting their liberal heads out of their butts and allowing drilling in America. For the prices to come down, we need production, not more stalling and regulation.
