Though Jeep used a 727, and some Buick 'V' engines, once the got heir own design going in about '71, they've had their own bolt pattern. Even re-did the 258 at that time to make it match the 304-360-401

Anyway, the 3550 uses a separable bell housing that should bolt to the Jeep 304. I wonder if the same adapter fits?
