Of course up Burke canyon, some of the indoor plumbing still consists of a pipe that goes straight to the edge of Canyon Creek, but that's an improvement over the old days when they used outhouses perched on stilts over the creek. But here in Wallace, we're pretty civilized -- cell phones, electricity, hot and cold running water, dog licenses...
