Tires for M-880, 16.5" rims ?

My friend wants to put new tires on his Dodge M-880 which has the 6 ( or 8 ?) lug rims. The rims are 16.5", and he can't find anyone that carries tires for this size. Does anyone know of a source or solution, maybe even switching to a different rim diameter ?
