I learned the wax trick years ago when I was young.....I guess thats many years LOL

You heat the fastener, depending on size and location. If the material will allow, I heat it to a dull red, then let it cool a little. Then touch a candle to it and let the candle wax melt and wick into the threads of the fastener. Let it cool and repeat. I cant remember not getting a fastener off, easily, with this method.
