Several things.......
Is the idle dropping lower then normal causing the low oil pressure? I've seen motors with a problem and are only idling at 400-500rpms and that will cause a lower pressure then idle at 750-800rpms.
Make sure he didnt put the wrong oil in it. With all these new 5w20 cars coming out I am sure some idiot will think oil is oil and put this stuff into a v8.
Could be a failing oil pump.
Could be the bearings in the motor are wore really bad and the motor is tired. I had the same situation years ago with a 318 that was tired. Wasnt long before it spun a bearing and that was the end.
