About 3 years ago we were forced (sort of) to sell both of my Dad's companies. The one I managed was a 50 people machine shop in PHX and the buyers dissolved that branch of the the company and sold all the assets. The attorneys told me that attending the auction MAY be a conflict of interest and suggested not to go. Well, the HARDINGE machine lathe that I learned on which was about 2 years old that sells for well over $40K NEW and over $20K USED, went in the auction for $1,200. I am STILL kicking myself for listening to the attorneys.
