When I was a kid (about 50 years ago) we were bombarded with adds talking about 100% pure pensalvania & believed it to be the best oil ever. No wonder before detergent oils all the engines were so waxed up,,,, AND this was because people were paying the big bucks for penn oil to protect their engines.
