I have seen several people accomplish remarkable things with an ozone generator. You can buy them, and some places rent them. I would not have believed it if I hadn't smelled the before and after circumstances. One was a car that had been filled with mice for several years, the other was a car that had contained a bunch of rotting food items.
In each case, after thorough cleaning and then operating the ozone generator for several days, the smell was gone.
