I could design one, but it would be insanely expensive. The problem is that any sort of convert would need to handle the full cranking current. It's one thing to make a little dropping resistor or voltage regulator to convert a fuel gage, but when you're dealing with hundreds of amps, it's a whole different story. Any sort of linear regulator or resistor would have to dissipate just as much power as the starter is using, which could be thousands of watts, and any sort of switching regulator would be a massive copper structure of ultra high power semiconductors and huge inductors. It might be possible to build something with a big relay in it to automate the process that RSBuc described below, but just like the manual method, if anything went wrong, you could fry a lot of stuff on the 6 volt truck. Nobody would want to be liable for all that damage, and so nobody would sell such a contraption.
