Hello all,
I am posting this here and at the 61-71 Dodge Truck Forum as I really am at a bit of a loss with this one.

The 318-3 engine in my '66 W500 did not seem to have the power it should and had a noticeable miss when I was driving it the other day so I decided to look into it. I checked and cleaned the plugs, several were wet but otherwise OK, then checked for spark, tested all of the plug wires and reset the dwell angle. This helped a bit, but did not solve the problem so I hooked up the vacuum gauge and it was only reading 8 lbs. I broke out the WD-40 and sprayed everything looking for a leak, no luck. My timing light is on the fritz so I used the vacuum gauge to adjust the timing and carb but could not get the idle jets to work properly so the old Stromberg was rebuilt. This also helped things a bit but it still only had 11 lbs. of vacuum, did not have much power and continued to have a miss, so I started to pull plug wires with the engine running. When all was said and done I had all of the plug wires off except #4 & #6, the crazy engine is only running on two cylinders! In the morning I plan to run a compression test on the old mill, but is there anything else I am overlooking?
