In my opinion, the most important thing is to do whatever it takes to make sure the front end and brakes are functional and safe. Then get the engine running. After that, you can spend the money and labor you want over a period of time until the the vehicle is what you want. (So far, I've spent about $3,000 to make sure my W200 runs safely. Now I'll work on the body over time; I'm in no hurry.) Good luck with your PW!
