Does anyone have a new Dodge with the Cummins and a 6-speed and how do you like it? I've driven both and have been told that they put the extra gear in betwween 2nd and 3rd on the 5 speed, but that thing is such a Q (torque) monster, it seems te 5 speed pulls just fine. I was just wondering if there have ben any problems with it. I try to stay away from 1st year vehicles as it seems to take awhile to work the bugs out. My dad bought a '94 3/4 ton and all the paint came off, then he had to put a new front end underneath it. The truck only has 140k mi on it. Friend of his also bought a new '94 and had to put a new auto trans in at 36400 mi! (400 mi over the warranty!!) Anyway, a local dealership is having a special on 2001 QuadCab 6-speed diesels and the prices are cheaper than that of used rigs from last year and the year before, so I'm milidly interested. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
