Texas Future Farmers of America
Well I've made some more fun stuff for the Power Wagon family. This truck is
a beautiful 1/30 scale, heavy diecast metal toy truck made by First Gear, its
baby blue with black fenders. The yellow wheels were done to give it the true
FFA effect. The truck is approximately 7 1/2" long by 2 1/2" wide and tall.
The hood opens and reveals the 230 6-cylinder and the tailgate swings down
and features real support chains.
Those of you who were in FFA in high school can really appreciate this truck.
I really enjoyed my involvement with the Future Farmers of America. The FFA
taught me leadership and skills that I've used in my everyday life. The Ag.
shop was the first place that I used a lot of power equipment and learned how
to weld. You will notice that the old logo was used that reads: Vocational
Agriculture. The "FFA motto" is on the rear fender. We never had a Power
Wagon when I was in high school here in Texas but, we had some awfully
unusual vehicles that could rank in the same class of uniqueness as a Power
Wagon.
Do not worry about the availability of this truck. I should have them up for
sale for a while. The Colwell Texaco Power Wagon is still available.
