An M37 I'm negotiating on has dualies on it.

Someone took the Budd wheels and had the centers cut out and offset. They then used the inner/outer wheel stud nuts of a 1/2 ton WC. The fenders had extensions on them at one time, but they are gone now.

Keep in mind that a combat rim and 9.00x16 tire weighs 110 lbs, and I'm sure the Budd rim and tire is only slightly less than that. So you'd have over 200 lbs of rotating mass on each rear hub. I'd sure not want to run that above stock speed unless it was carefully balanced.

I really see no reason to dualie an M37. You are better off going to a larger tire. Like the Michelin 1100x16's, or with Snake Rivers conversion kit to run 11.00x18 Gama Goat tires and rims. I suspect this M37 was done by the fire department that had it, and it was easier at that time to dualie than find proper tires.
