The photo in my mind has an octagonal bent washer on the out side, plus a thin nut to tighten it all together. Probably only good for low pressure applications. I had put mine into the top radiator hose.

But I believe that the Plymouth's used a fitting brazed into the lower steel tube elbow. The fitting you have was the generic replacement for the factory Plymouth part.

Far as I know, the trucks all used an elbow at the top of the water pump.

Try a Plymouth site er two, for a repro lower tube with tee?
