yes but when not on a hill it will cruise along at 75 in its favorite rpm range. When I was experimenting with my current truck trying to ease it along very gently to get good mileage, every hill I hit sent the over head mpg computer into the crappy numbers.obviously you need to check fuel economy the old fashioned way by calculating the miles driven and the fuel you just pumped into the tank. But I was playing with the computer. It does seem to be accurate overall though. If I towed a lot then the 4:10 gears would be preferable for good mileage you want that engine turning slower.
