When these truck were new everyone was on the bandwagon to convert them to part time. The savings mileagewise will be minimal and it will take a lot of miles to get any payback on the cost of parts alone. Add to this that you will miss full time four wheel I know I do. I had a 78 W 200 ClubCab as my first truck and I consider it one of the best I owned. But to each his own.
