Josh, i'm certainly not a pro and have only done one truck. But, I bought a 90 psi sandblaster from Harbor Freight and used POR after treating with Metal Ready and I've had excellent results. I'm certainly not saying it's better than epoxy or powder coating, probably not, but it worked well for me. I had to remove some POR from some sheet metal with the blaster and it stuck very well, very difficult to blast off. In most, but not all cases, I would blast one day and paint the next and the metal would have a light film of rust for better adherance.

I used two 6 hp compressors tied together to provide enough air. it does take a lot of air. if I had it to do over, I would also buy a small blast cabinet for the small parts.

Paul is right, the blasting was the biggest, nastiest job for me in the whole restoration.
