Opposite end of the spectrum is those who buy a restored vehicle.
And there's those near that end who say "I restored it". They had it towed to the engine shop, drove it to the body shop, drove it to the upholsterer, wrote the check for the wiring harness... and when they are done still say "I restored it". I guess for them to say "I had it restored", they mean they hired somebody else to call the tow company?
I figure that I draw the line at $10 per hour. If I can make or refurb a part and save $10 per hour, I make it. My wiring harness paid me $50 hr. The only labor I paid was for sandblasting. Still cost me $8,000 plus for parts and materials. And I had 2,000 hours of fun.
