Nick, the sockets won't be the same for the dual filament 6 and 12 volt systems. I just went thru this on a 53 Chevy cabover and my 53 PW. The reason for the offset pin slots is to index the bulbs for the candlepower on each filament. the brightest is the brake and other is tail/park.
