It functions exactly like a pto winch, including the free spool feature and the brake. It can be mounted in the front or in the back of the vehicle. The hydraulic motor is joined to the winch, and turns the main shaft. The motor is driven by the pump on the pto or could be driven by any other source of hydraulic pressure.
