Could you please elaborate on your comment earlier about diesel needing to be $2.00/ gal. more than gasoline to be cost ineffective?What class vehicles (gas vs. diesel) are you basing this on, mileage per vehicle , ect? As near as I can figure this would mean I should need nearly 60% better fuel mileage from a diesel based on $ 3.30/gal gasoline compared to $5.30 /gal diesel.At 20mpg gas it should mean 32 mpg diesel ? Is my math wrong? Idon't know of anything out there other than the VW's getting 32 mpg. diesel.I don't mean to sound argumentative , perhaps I just need enlightening? Jim.
