My family has had several auctions over the years. From my experience, the things that you nearly threw away beforehand are the things that bring in the big money. The things that you are banking on selling high are the things that you usually end up being lucky to just break even on. As a buyer, it always seems that everyone else is after what I am bidding on. So yes, prices are always from hell for someone. ;^)
