You must understand as a canadian what you have lost. More Americans every day begin a statement like you did when it comes to freedoms. That is why it is not called the Bill of needs but rather the Bill of Rights. The right of defending ourselves isn't given to the people by a benevolent Goverment.
Our goverment is told we have our rights already from a higher power and we have the power to defend them against a corrupt goverment.
