The weaponry is outgrowing the size of the small test ranges we have. Pendleton is too small, as is Twentynine Palms.
The cactus huggers claimed all the area east and north of Twentynine Palms for a National Park.
The area in question was ALL Patton's playground in WWII, I'm torn on this one, but it seems that there could be areas other than the Hammers to expand, like Berkley and San Fransisco.....
