The 1951 half tons had a 97hp. 218ci. engine mated to a 3spd or heavy duty 4spd tranny. The 218 is a 23" block, just like the 230. In fact, the military WC trucks came with the 218. I had one in my 1950 PW. Great engine! Good luck.
