I used to work for an Ag chemical applicator/farmer. We always had 2 pickup spray rigs that had 500 gal stainless tanks on them. 32% Nitrogen weighs 1 pound more per gal than water so everytime it went out when full it they had at least 5500lb in liquid and well over 2000lbs in spray equipment.(40 ft boom with ground driven pumps) Combine that with single rear wheels worked or plowed ground and it was awful hard on them.

I had one frame break ahead of the front rear spring perch and bunches of leaf springs break. Auto trannies would last about 3 years at the most. Even with tranny coolers you couldn't put your hand on the transmission hump on the floor because it would get so hot.

Was spraying a hay field in the spring one year and asked the farmer if there was any wet spots and he said no. Making the first round at about 15 MPH hit one and truck sank like a rock. Actually the bottom of the cab was level with sod. Only about 6 inches of the top tires showing. After unloading the 500 gals still took quite a bit for a floater to pull out the truck. Your blind when driving in hay fields in the spring! Kevin
