Well I went to the dealer and got an OEM u-joint today. I told the guy about the junk u-joints I'd been buying at the local parts stores. He agreed they are no good and said one time they ran out of oem u-joints and bought some from a local parts store to do a repair,they had the same problems with them as I did. The oem joint was tight as can be,the rubber seals were tight and they even supplied two thicknesses of retainer rings to make the job right. I took the NAPA joint back and complained to the parts guy. I told him he should only carry Spicer from now on. His remarks were "they are too much money, no one will buy them". I still can't figure out who would want to buy crapy u-joints even if they were cheap??? Lesson learned, don't buy crappy cheap Chuneese u-joints.
