Tim, Definitaly no need for that ever around here in VT either carried or in the truck but in Alaska I carried a sidearm anywhere that wasn't public.
Best jobsite ever was at Wake Robin retirement community building stone walls. They held ice cream socials and invited me up each time. A few dozen ladies all dressed in their most formal wear and the dirtiest mason you ever saw sharing fruit and ice cream. I think I was the best entertainment they had in years.
