If you don't think you'll have the control with a mig welder, then just do it the old fashon way, gas weld it with a small rod, I think that is how I fixed one of my windshield frames a few years back. It's not easy because they are thin and a crazy shape, and if you don't maintaint he weather-strip groove you'll have troubles later. Good luck
