Generally I hesitate to delve into a political discussion, because regardless of what is stated, it generally makes no difference! But, having said that If I had to pick soomeone I would like to see Lou Dobbs of CNN run as an independent. I genuinely enjoy listening to him and agree with the majority of what he has to say about the direction this country has gone and is going. I've always voted the Republican ticket, but I'm seriously considering changing my affiliation to the independents. Truth be known it probably won't make much of a difference who gets elected as they are so ham strung by the Senate and House. A prime example of that is the debacle in getting ANWR opened up. I really thought we had a choice when the Republicans were in the majority, but it'll never happen now regardless of how high the price of oil goes. It chaps my butt that the folks who live outside of Alaska can't mind their own damned business. Hey folks, there aren't any trees on the north slope, contrary to the bunny huggers statements. And the caribou sleep, breed and calve directly under the oil pipeline. They literally will walk through a shop building and could care less. Okay, I was on a rant, so will retire to my corner once again.
