All of the corn produced on my farm and several of the ajoining farms in my area here in rural NC went into the food chain. Just not the food chain that you would expect though..........

ALL of the corn I am talking about was bagged in 50# bags and sold to Deer Hunters! The deer hunters are tired of paying inflated retail prices for corn and the locals have gone to selling their entire crop direct to the hunters for deer corn. They can get $1.00 more per bushel by selling their corn to deer hunters than they can by selling to feed mills or other markets, plus they do not have the expense of trucking their corn to market. The hunters come to the farm and pick up the corn that they buy. Once word gets out, the hunters wear the roads out to get the corn before it is all gone. The deer hunters save a $1.00 off of retail price and the farmer makes a $1.00 more than market price, and the deer eat well! A win, win situation for all.

Makes the venison better too!
