a huge portion, don't remember the percentage, of all crude in the U.S. is produced in the Gulf of Mexico and funneled through Louisiana. Shouldn't prices be lower here??? Maybe the $0.42 in taxes per gallon is the difference? Diesel is about $3.25 right now.
Why would diesel be more expensive when it's less refined???
What are the taxes on fuel in other states??
