That's a ttrue proportioning valve, cars don't have them.

The "Proportioning valve" on that system is the only true proportioning valve. What is on smaller stuff, like ours, is not. It is a "pressure differential warning valve and switch". It does nothing to proportionate, it only shuts of the flow to one side, if that side leaks, making the pedal very high and hard. Plus, at that point in time, it turns on the brake warning slight, in case the driver is too ignorant to know what the feel of the pedal means.

Or it is a "combination valve", same as above, but it holds off the application of the front discs until pressure builds and causes the rear shoes to apply- something inherently done by the dual master anyhow.

I'm not running any on my dual power drum system, can't tell that it needs one.
