funny thing i cant remember much about the 361 cu in. now DONT QUOTE me on this i think there was a truck assembly plant in canada in the fifties and early sixtys????there were many 318s and plenty of 413s perhaps the 361 was a American built unit there was a great following of dodge big trucks up to 1968 69.. the gull wing 900 and 9000 were tremedous as plow trucks and hiway units and there was a flat face cab over i think the w1000?/ the popular engine of the day mid sixtys was either a cummins 855cu in @220 hp and later versions were turboed and uprated to 250- 270? the competion/or other optional engine was the detroit 318hp two stroke v8.. trans missions were mostly the road ranger 910 (tenspeed)or the rr 913(13speed with overdrive)..tamdem drive rear axles were on the rise in the early sixtys mostlty rockwell which has since dominated the rear drive industry
