Steve, I have the parts book right in front of me, the rods, lifters, valves and many other parts are indeed different on many Chrysler motors. The parts may APPEAR the same, but there are different sized parts, different metallurgy and different bearings.
Some like the Hemi he mentions only changed the valves, the 383 changed nothing, the 318 and 361 changed many parts.
There are no blanket statements that work with Dodge.....= )
