Clint, there is one thing to worry about. I'm not completely clear on the details, but there are different "forms of payment" on PayPal; some of them are not guaranteed to clear instantly, kind of like personal checks. You might want to read up on this on the PayPal pages. Given that the guy is in Brazil, you won't have much recourse once you ship parts. Check him out any way you can (how did he find you, etc).
In general I trust PayPal, and use it a lot. There are these little caveats, though.
