Referring to my Dodge Shop Manual, 1967, Power Wagon, Group 21, Page 21-67

The following is in BOLD print !
"Idler Shaft Upper;
It is important that this shaft and housing bores are free from nicks and have a forced fit on both sides. If the shaft is loose, oil will leak out during operation."\
