Greetings Russ. Thanks to both you, for the “engineered” packing crate, and your sister Ruth, for getting the thing up here for me. It looks like it should work. The mounting system is close enough to that of a NP 201 that I may be able to use a cross member that I have out at the farm. The difference in the driveline yokes shouldn’t be a problem as I am starting from scratch anyway. I put the T-case in the shop, but haven’t done anything further yet.

The drive to Ruth’s and back made for a good day trip, with absolutely no snow once we got 60 miles away from home. There were even a couple of interesting Dodges sitting in some of the yards along the way: a really nice black 59 D100 Sweptside with a big window cab, and lots of chrome, and a mid 60’s D100 Sweptside shortbox a few miles later. Neither one of them looks to have moved in a few years. We stopped at one of Howard’s friends on the way back to check out some of his tractor projects. I would have liked to have stayed longer, but the border is only open till 6 pm.

Last week it was kind of cold around here. It started with a blizzard on Monday, and then the temperature dropped to –37 c (35 below f) and with the “breeze” the wind-chill was –56 c or 69 below zero!
