Got a NOS flat head shaft from eBay for $25.

I turned the shank of the /6 housing down 1/32 by running a self tapping screw in through the hole in the bottom,so the shaft would spin the housing when I put the shaft in my drill press. Poor man's lathe. Just a couple minutes- give it a few file strokes, then shut off the drill press and check with dial calipers. Light oil or WD-40 keeps the file from plugging up. Then replace the /6 shaft with a 230 shaft. I used a new one, to preserve the complete OE distributor, under my seat. I drilled another drain hole in the bottom to, opposite the first one. Then use two screwdrivers as levers under the center six-pointed reluctor, pry it upwards. Oh, you'll need to swap the /6 hexagon part for the fh cam- there is wire clip inside the top, under the felt. Pull it out with needle nose or forceps.

I'll take it to the Dyno shop and get it re-curved later this week when I get the FFPW 'before' dynoed. Then I can get on with mods. I will post the 'before' rear wheel horse power reading.
