I couldn't wait to get out of the U.S. Navy because I had an interrupted career waiting for me, but I loved being out to sea on whatever operations we had going on. (with aircraft carrier and screening it it from subs) I was a Signalman, U.S.S. Henderson, DD 785. It was a cushy job. Retired as a Longshoreman,Anacortes Washington 3 years ago. Time flys and it has been fun. No your not the only one who loved your service, I'm with you on that and I loved my job too.
