points install ffpw, question

installed a set of new points the other day, purchased thru napa for a 54, noticed theres a gap between the cam and the fricton block on the points, in point sets that I have installed in the past the friction block has always been in contact with the cam. points were set at correct gap and seem to work ok. any thoughts?
