They all have their flaws. The Danbury model is the most detailed, but the hood angle, radiator cowl, and color are wrong. First Gear models are less detailed and all have names or graphics of some kind on them with a bright red gas can on the running board and/or wrecker booms in the pickup bed. Some of them also have odd color combinations on the wheels and running gear. The large Matchbox models have some odd details and also graphics. The Ertl models all seem to advertise tractor companies and also they somehow got some of the measurements wrong. The small Matchbox models sit really low in the rear like they have 3-ton of rock in the bed. There is also another company whose models have doors open, but the window frame stays with the cab and the pickup box is too short. The Yorkshire model is the most far removed from an actual scale model, but it was the first to be produced and it has an interesting Telephone Company service body, derrick, and pole digger. George Ferriers wooden models are a work of art. Sorry George, I think I spelled you name wrong. It is still early in the morning.

Franklin Mint was tooling up to produce a model well before all of the rest, except for Yorkshire. They would probably have produced the best die cast scale model, but politics got in the way and the project was scrapped.
