It would also put the lubrication passage to the front bearings at a different location. It might not get proper lube.
I would suggest getting a WC centered rear, move the spring perches and have a true centered rear with equal axle lengths. Then upgrade to a NP-205 T Case. This is what I did on the Bandit. I am sure you could Ebay the Tibus Axles quickly.
